The Hermannschule daycare centre, inaugurated in 2018 in the Südviertel district, offers space for three groups, creating a cosy place that offers children a second home.

Each of our groups has spacious rooms, consisting of a main group room with an adjoining room, a quiet room and a washing and toilet area. These rooms are carefully adapted to the needs of the children and are actively designed by them.

A spacious gymnasium is available for all children to let off steam and develop their sporting skills. Our outdoor area has two spacious sand play areas, two climbing frames with slides and a cosy nest swing. Two magnificent trees provide pleasant shade during the warm summer months.

The upper floor also offers a spacious roof terrace with direct access to the sun group. We are happy to organise walks to the nearby playgrounds and the idyllic Südpark to encourage the children's joy of discovery.

Educational concept

For us, education is a way of giving children the opportunity to develop into self-confident and happy individuals. Our children see the world as an endless space of learning and growing. Our aim is to equip them with the skills they need for their future lives. In doing so, we respond sensitively to their individual needs in order to promote their positive self-image and their ability to be independent. We recognise the moments when a child needs support to overcome new challenges and are there to lend a helping hand.

Our children have access to a learning environment that is rich in experiences and offers age-appropriate adventures. We ask questions, create challenges, provide encouragement and support them in finding answers. The activities and projects selected by our educational staff reflect the interests and abilities of our children and encourage their thirst for knowledge and discovery.

In addition to planned projects and activities, we attach great importance to free play in our daycare centre. This gives our children the freedom to decide for themselves who they want to play with, what they want to play with and how long they want to play for. Free play is of crucial importance for their development, as it allows them to process experiences, try things out and develop an understanding of themselves and their environment. It encourages socialising, friendship building and the ability to manage conflict and compromise. During free play, their language, motor and cognitive skills are practised through play and their social and emotional development is supported.

For us, parents are their children's experts. A regular exchange of experiences between home and the daycare centre is of great importance to us and goes without saying. The development of each individual child is regularly documented and discussed with parents at fixed intervals.

Monthly costs

The childcare costs are based on the charter of fees issued by the city of Münster. In addition, a monthly flat rate of € 80 is charged for meals.
